The Original Cottage
This cottage is the original structure at the property. Constructed in 1958, this post-war build has stood the test of time. Fully restored in 2023, it’s been given a new lease on life and is the beauty you see today.
One of the stand-out features of the Original Cottage is the restored wooden floorboards, hidden from view for 65 years. Their refurbishment adds an immense character and warmth throughout the cottage that only real wood can bring.
Gone is the kitchen of yesteryear, and in its place is not only a fully equipped kitchen, but a moody and dramatic space that draws you in with its beauty and functionality. Paying homage to the past, but with the conveniences of modern design, you’ll find yourself wanting to spend the night in and show off your culinary skills.
A cozy lounge room is connected to the main kitchen/dining space and encourages you to settle in with a book or reminisce on good times. As the fireplace warms you in the background, forget all the worries of the world, and truly relax in this home away from home.
Both bedrooms feature luxurious king-sized beds and are exactly what is required to reset and recharge on your relaxing getaway. The second bedroom has the option of two king single beds, giving flexibility to your individual requirements. Ample storage is available in both bedrooms including full-length hanging, keeping everything in its place during your stay.
The bathroom wows with a walk-in wet room and heritage brass tap wear. Soak in the oversized tub as you enjoy a glass of local wine and feel yourself unwind. On-demand hot water means you can enjoy a relaxing drawn-out shower, knowing the next person will be able to enjoy the same.
A fully private courtyard with an outdoor dining setting is also included. When the original cottage is booked together with our studio accommodation, a previously locked access gate is opened between the two, creating a shared area for everyone to enjoy.
Checking in is a breeze with a digital smart lock. You’ll never need to worry about forgetting the keys again! Be sure to take advantage of our European-style laundry for extended stays. The cottage also features fully ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning for year-round comfort, with an ultra user-friendly touchscreen control panel. Complimentary Wi-Fi and Smart TV with Netflix are also provided for your enjoyment.
